↳ Our Annual AVA Rally North Conway, NH.↳ 31st Annual AVA Rally Springfield, MO.Past Rallies and Next Rally-Next Rally Is In : Flagstaff, AZ 2022.So given another choice, I would have spent that $200 on something else for the bike. The return policy - you should be able to return it after you have removed the tape, you cannot really test it with it on and my issue directly relates to this (looking through the shield) I think something in here like a screen would make me feel more protected in this area. Since purchasing the VV, I usually ride with my shield up on my FF helmet and the sunshield down as I do not expect anything to come through and hit my face. The vent could use a removable and cleanable screen. I definitely would have rather chosen a clear shield vs the tinted one as it may help but still, the view is distracting. This is my biggest qualm and may result in me selling the shield. I find myself now having to adjust each time, from clear view over and then distorted through it. The distortion is very distracting, I am 6' and usually would look over and through the stock shield. When open, you can feel the airflow with your hand, we have not had the usual hot summer days here in NJ so I cannot say if it helps with cooling but you can feel a nice flow. In the closed position, it still directs air up into holes at the top that direct air along the shield, acting as a defogger. The vent has 5 positions, including closed. The vent works well and is easy to adjust. The lip does an amazing job of pushing the air up and over me. Did about three hours yesterday with the shield and my results are as follows: So unfortunately for me, three weeks pass before I can get a ride in with some other issues going on. Not a good thing when you look through the shield at times to ride. The shield is aerodynamically shaped and through this shaping, you get distortion at the top and the sides. A little disappointed at that point that my plan to add a tri-pocket shield bag will never happen (the vent sticks out in the middle) but think it was worth it.Īt this point I am thinking all good! As it was late and I wasn't planning to ride, I got on the bike to put her back in the garage and noticed the view you get through the shield is somewhat distorted, not good. I have to admit, I was very impressed with the way it changed the look of the bike nicely. The shield has a curved lip at the top, the tint looks very nice, the vent fits nice and tight, and there is a black painted area across the bottom of the shield that fits in nice with the black on the fairing. As I prefer the tall shield, this would have been impossible for me as you cannot see through it so I bit the bullet and removed the tape on the bike. They suggest a ride to test performance and view, etc, BEFORE removing the tape. Once you remove the tape, as per the above, it is pretty much yours. The fit was perfect, all holes lined up, no issues with installation other than another person would have been helpful!

I gently removed the old shield and cleaned up the area where it was (you would be amazed at the places dead bugs can get into) I tore the lower half of the protective tape off the new shield (if you remove it all, you have to pay a %20 restock fee, a lot on a $200 shield) and then gently installed it into place. Once the shield arrived, it is packaged VERY well, very thick padding pieces are in the box along with the shield itself covered in a protective tape. Finally after three weeks, I received a UPS ship notice and the waiting game really began as it shipped right before a weekend
CLEARVIEW SHIELDS UPDATE
For the first two weeks, I heard nothing but then as the shield began production, I would get update e-mails on it's progress. The shields are made to order so once they had my money (you pay up front, they charge immediately, not on shipment) they sent an e-mail that the process takes 12-18 business days.

I chose the XL size since it was just a tad shorter than the stock shield, the gray tint (I am mainly a day rider), and the 5 position vent (the main reason for the purchase) In June I ordered a Clearview shield for my 2010 Voyager. Just thought I would post this in case anyone was considering a purchase.
