If you need more information than that then add it, but only if you truly need that information on your screen.Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts Log In Sign Up User account menu 42 Could you help me design a new Minimalist UI please. This guide is pretty darn good.
Share Report Save level 2 Dragoon 3 years ago For others following this guide, make sure you do the following for it to work: Under Character Configuration Hotbar Settings Sharing Turn off sharing for 5, 6, 7 and turn ON sharing for 8, 9, 10. This isnt mentioned in the guide. ![]() Some tips I can give you: 1- Switch the job gauge to simple mode. You can PROBABLY live without your inventory grid, disable that shit. You dont need SMN skills as Red Mage, dont make use of shared bars for class skills. For a long time I used a macro to show a shared bar for 5 seconds with Khloe Book, Job changes, etc, making only visible 1 shared bar with the mount roulette, Limit Break, Return, Teleport and a Dice Macro button, the one showing the other bar for 5 seconds to change classbooketc. There are a lot of guides on macroshotbars. Share Report Save level 2 SMN Original Poster 3 years ago You reckon I should take out limit break keybind from my normal class binds and make it hidden. What other stuff skills or binds you think I could hide My biggest problem with the RDM one and this one you see on screen is that I end up adding cds and stuff to the center repeating skills and clustering because my vision is dead focus on a very small part of the screen and, for exemple, aetherflow which is always on 7 is hard to see 1 Share Report Save Continue this thread level 1 3 years ago Screen real estate 3 Share Report Save level 1 Disgusting potato named Mei Letti 3 years ago Please move everything to the edges PLEASE. Share Report Save level 2 3 years ago Some people prefer to have the important parts of the UI closer to the middle to help with tunnel-vision 13 Share Report Save level 2 SMN Original Poster 3 years ago Thank you for answering. Ive tried that approach however it doesnt work well for me. Share Report Save Continue this thread level 1 Momoe Kita on Sargatanas 3 years ago This is how I like my UI. My main goal is to get all the relevant battle info near my characters feet so I everything I need to know is all in one place. I also have a macro to hide the UI elements in the top right of the screen so that I can have most of my screen clear of UI elements. Share Report Save level 1 3 years ago This is mine, but havent gotten around to finishing it. The bottom right has a spot for something that can be put there thats a rectangle, but I usually have it off screen now. Share Report Save level 1 Dancing Galka 3 years ago Its all about where you personally prefer things to be. So, as a healer on a 4K monitor, I need things to be more tight-knit during content. I have an unnecessary hotbar setup on the right side that I change constantly with things I want easy access to click or look at. Then I have a macro to make certain parts of the UI appeardisappear, as well as a gear-set macro hotbar. Move things around until you feel theyre in the right space, toy around with multiple setups like the ones other people and yourself posted. Each person has their own unqiue setup that works for them. Share Report Save level 1 SMN Original Poster 3 years ago Here are some of the ones Ive been looking at: (i took these form a few other reddit threats, if its yours and you would like it remove message me and I will take it down.) My favorite so far, however the problem (you will see this alot) is that it lacks hotbars for summoner, which has the most skills in the game I believe. Plus party frame dont work well if you mo instead of F1-8 heal. I would lower it a bit and switch the job frame for party frame. Problem that arose was that the moment I switched jobs I would forget the binds for that job, so it doesnt quite fit me well (person who switches jobs all the time for raid, who probably shouldnt), Amazing if you have 1 main though. Still too many things on screen and I notice the space in the middle doesnt accomodate every job HUD well, bards and astro stood out the most. Share Report Save level 2 BLM 3 years ago If youre looking for a minimalistic UI you should really start with nothing and think When Im playing this job, what do I absolutely need Usually, you will need the following: Health Bar Cast Bar Target BarTarget Castbar Focus TargetCastbar Cooldowns BuffsDebuffs If healingsupport, party frames. Chat Anything that does not require attention needs to be either removed or hidden. Things you want but probably dont need usually include: Action bars (big one, if you dont have your actions memorized you shouldnt be raiding as that job) Currencybagsxp bars, or otherwise useless information to have in instanced content. It really helps to ask yourself about EVERY UI element you have on your screen. In your screenshots you posted you have tiny text and HUGE action bars.
